The Hailers have prevailed in today's music industry with their honesty, ambition, strong work ethic and signature sound. You will get a sense of familiarity hearing the influences of  Supertramp, The Rolling Stones, the harmonies of Fleetwood Mac, the gritty blues rock of the Allman Brothers and the sultry psychedelic rock of Pink Floyd.

Since the band's inception, they have shared the stage with many acts such as Uriah Heep, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Motels, John Kay & Steppenwolf, The Smithereens, The Alarm, The Babys, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters, Felix Cavaliere & The Rascals, Big Country, Psychedelic Furs and John Martin.

The Hailer’s are one of those bands that sound as good in a live performance as on a recording.  The band’s most recent and Grammy nominated release “Escape to Your Heart” is garnishing great reviews.

The Hailers were originally formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Robert Mills (formerly named "The Loud Hailers") in his native Wales/UK, where he released several albums featured on S4C and BBC television and radio and for three consecutive years, the winning recipient of the Welsh Rock & Pop Awards. With Robert's geographic move, the band has since evolved into the current U.S. ensemble which includes bassist and songwriting partner, April Carson, known for her presence in The Wild Hairs, Misguided and Ron Keel's Fair Game. Other artists include saxophonist Scott Page (Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Toto), drummer Billy DiBlasi (Jack Wagner, Buck Page) Harlan Spector (Redbone, Guitar Shorty, Buffalo Springfield) and backing vocalist Patti Smith (Allman Brothers, Charlie Daniels Band, John Mayall).

The Hailers have performed at numerous venues throughout Southern California including The Saban Theater, The Canyon Clubs, The Rose in Pasadena, The Jon Lovitz Theatre, House of Blues, Bogies Westlake Village, The Federal Bar, The Maverick Saloon and many more, giving them the opportunity to manifest a strong fan base.

MEET THE BAND

Robert “Lordhailer” Mills – Guitar & Lead Vocals Originally from Cardiff, Wales, Robert’s career expands for three decades as a frontman, guitarist, songwriter, producer and arranger. Robert has established an extensive list of album credits, television and featured films including performances with Foghat, Taj Mahal, Killing Time, National Anthem and Red Sharks. He was also for three consecutive years, the winning recipient of the Welsh Rock & Pop Awards.  His teamed effort with Welsh recording artist Meic Stevens produced a compilation of Robert’s songs performed in the Welsh language and featured on S4C, BBC television and radio, receiving outstanding reviews throughout Britain and Europe. Upon leaving Wales, Robert first spent time touring in Holland and then later to Spain where he spent several years, embracing many cultural and musical styles. This is where he was introduced to what the Spanish refer to as "the Duende" (having soul, a heightened state of emotion, expression and authenticity), this feeling and philosophy is what motivates him and is well-defined in his unique songwriting.

April Carson – Bass & Vocals A native of Southern California, April grew up in a musical family where she was introduced to many musical instruments before making bass guitar her instrument of choice.  April hit the Los Angeles music scene with popular bands, Misguided, Paris, Ron Keel’s Fair Game and The Wild Hairs.  She has had and extensive recording and touring career both as a performer and as support act for artists such as Earl Slick, Billy Idol, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, DAD, Stone, Killing Time and many local West Coast blues artists. Throughout her career, April has established herself as a solid bass player, key songwriter and vocalist, whose songs have been featured on radio throughout the United States and in the top ten playlist throughout Scandinavia, Germany and Belgium. She continues to hone her songwriting and performance skills on The Hailers recent CD releases.

Drummer Billy DiBlasi studied with legendary drummers such as Greg Bissonette, Henry Bellson, Graham Lear, Dave Weckel, Vinnie Colaiuta, and long-time mentor and friend, Joe Porcaro, father of the late great drummer, Jeff Porcaro. His credits include playing with well-known artists and hit songwriters, Jack Wagner, Rick Springfield, John Schneider and Buck Page as well as appearances on iconic music televisions shows, American Bandstand and Solid Gold.

Scott Page - Saxophone Scott Page is an American musician, technologist, and entrepreneur.  As a performer he is the saxophonist and rhythm guitarist for Pink Floyd, Supertramp, and Toto. As an entrepreneur, Page formed Walt Tucker Productions, an audio video post-production company that produced projects for The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Janet Jackson, Garth Brooks, Scorpions and others. He also co-founded 7th Level, Inc., an award-winning CD-ROM game and educational software company. Page frequently serves as an invited guest lecturer and panelist at numerous new media conferences and university symposia. Currently, he is a featured "guest mentor" on the weekly syndicated radio show Business Rockstars, hosted by Ken Rutkowski. As an artist, his continued work as a recording and as a session musician continues to draw interest from Pink Floyd fans and other music fans alike.

Pattie Smith - Backing Vocals Patti was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Los Angeles in the late 70’s. Her first tour in the U.S. was singing backing vocals with John Mayall, followed by Bonnie Bramlett, Charlie Daniels and the Allman brothers. Patti has also done session work with the artists mentioned above as well as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker and Wet Willie. Patti also performed as a lead vocalist on the song “Lookin for Love” on the Urban Cowboy soundtrack album.

Shaun Bowen was born in New Haven ,CT. He grew up in a musical family and took to the guitar at a young age. He spent his formative years as songwriter ,singer and guitarist for heavy rock band Murdervan releasing two albums and supporting national acts such as L7 ,The Germs, and Juicifer. Upon relocating to the west Coast in 2016 he has continued to play guitar, write and produce in various bands in and around the Los Angeles area.
